Words are what our team does best!
Like many great stories, Write. On’s began a long time ago, in 1991, when a single writer, Jill Ellis-Worthington, began offering freelance stories to local publications.
Now a full-time firm, of four talented and award-winning communicators, we use our varied backgrounds and strengths to benefit our clients, in all areas of communication. From technical editing to feature stories, business writing to humour columns, with over 70 years of combined experience there’s no subject we can’t handle, no project too big or too small for our fastidious foursome.
Whether it’s our chief communicator herself, Jill Ellis-Worthington, Ralph Lembcke, or Erika Faust, one of Write. On’s talented communicators will be happy to meet with you to discuss a service that fits your communication needs.
Jill Ellis-Worthington, Chief Communicator
Jill’s passion for words is surpassed only by her eagerness to get them out of her head and onto a word doc.
Beginning her career in publishing with CRV Publications as assistant editor of Power Boating Canada Magazine 28 years ago, Jill spent nearly 10 years working for Canada’s largest newspaper chain, Sun Media, before striking out on her own and turning Write. On Communication Services into a thriving business, helping businesses grow and prosper by attracting attention through cutting-edge communication strategies.
Graduate of Texas A&M University and Western University, Jill has had stories published in magazines across Canada and the U.S., including Texas Highways Magazine, Renovation Contractor Magazine, Bayliner Magazine, Canadian Living Magazine, eatdrink Magazine, and Amerikidz Magazine. She is also the editor of Lifestyle Magazine.
For clients seeking the media spotlight, all this experience at ferreting out the story and getting it into the hands of newspaper journalists, radio announcers and television producers pays real dividends.
Jill’s storytelling skills translate to above-the-noise content generation for Write. On’s social media clients, helping her create compelling website copy or marketing materials that get attention.
Her skills as an effective communicator, gained through years of studying theatre and speaking, help her media training and communication coaching clients gain the confidence they need to be better speakers and writers.
Ralph Lembcke, Communicator
